-----Phase 2----- PLEROMA High above the world, this heavenly pinnacle of light looks over all that God considers his domain. Although, for a guy so important, you'd expect his throne room to be a bit more lavish. All that is here, atop this great mountain, are a few trees and grazing a̶̽̂n̸̓̕g̶͂͒e̶͇͑l̸͒̌s̶̍͆, as well as a perfect white cube. Inside the cube sits the Big Man himself, on a throne that is nothing more than a plain wooden chair. Before him, he has a simple table, on which rests his coffee and a donut. Opposite him, the wall that was opaque from the outside now shows a perfect view of Purgatory - although, you can't hear much of what is being said. Outside, there is a pedestal, engraved with a carving of a clock face. It's showing 12 o'clock! The actual time of day seems to be different - it's dusk right now! On one of the trees, a single, perfectly ripe apple is growing! It looks delicious. Although, there's a strange hissing sound coming from the tree... Only the most deserving of souls get to sit in the Pleroma. The most virtuous, the most innocent... Cabbage guy is sat here??? Well, I was indeed walking around! But Retsuko's right. I wasn't just wandering aimlessly; I was looking around for any items that could be useful to me as a Pokemon trainer! Pokeballs to catch Pokemon or healing potions to recover health would really come in handy! Unfortunately though, I didn't find any of those items. But I did pick up this twig! To be honest, I'm not really sure why I picked this up, but hey, why not?

For all we know, the "war" is a game of trust, where there is one false member on each side, and the groups must weed them out.

It looks like Ancestor Wayne and Sean Evans are walking over to the tree!

As they approach, a hissing noise intensifies!

"Hey, do you hear that hissing?" Wayne asks Sean.

"Huh?"

HISSSSSSSSSSSS

Suddenly, a massive snake pops out of the tree, straight in front of Sean!

"HUH?!?" Sean shouts in surprise!

Even more surprisingly, the snake... starts talking?

It's hard to hear what they're saying, but the snake seems to be cautioning Sean.

...To which Sean responds...

"huh."

He appears to be a bit unnerved by the talking snake.

He then starts mumbling.

"um, well, uh, wouldyou like... erm, Hot Ones, you know, with uh, me? yeaah..?"

Yeah, that made about as much sense to me as it did to the snake.

The snake, in a state of utter confusion, does what it knows best...

AND BITES SEAN!

Despite the bite, Sean still manages to snag an apple before bolting away in a state of fear and shock.

Wayne then approaches the snake, significantly less flustered than Sean.

As he approaches, a new apple seems to grow and emerge from the tree!

Wayne reaches for the apple, but..!

The snake rapidly slithers to a nearer branch to Wayne, and offers a warning!

"sss... Beware, this apple bearssss a great curssse, one that can only be cleansssed by-"

"Don't care" Wayne interjects, plucking the apple from the tree.

Well, that was rude.

Hmm, that all being done with, let's focus on someone less rude... Like Retsuko!

She goes over to the table, and picks up the coffee cup!

She looks to me for confirmation that it's okay for her to take it!

Hey, of course! I said you could already, didn't I!

Retsuko picks up the coffee, and takes a sip.

"Eeek!"

Retsuko jumps, spilling a bit of the coffee in the process.

It appears that it was more hot than she bargained for!

She adjusts herself and takes another sip.

Oh well, no harm done, I suppose.

Meanwhile, Hilda has gone over to cabbage guy.

"Uhm, Hello Mr. Cabbage Guy!"

...

Cabbage guy seems almost entirely unresponsive.

Well, that was disappointing.

Meanwhile, Dry bones and Brinelex Brine seem to be preparing themselves for something...

Suddenly, brine takes hold of one of Dry Bones' ribs, and...

TEARS IT CLEAN OFF!

Somehow, it seems like it was mostly painless for Dry Bones!

Dry bones takes his rib from Brine, and... offers it up to me!

Suddenly, it starts changing and contorting!

Shifting, shaking, shrinking...

Until...

Pop!

It disappeared!

That is... until...

Wait for it...

Huh. I guess it's just gone.

Outside, there is a pedestal, engraved with a carving of a clock face. It's showing 12 o'clock! The actual time of day seems to be different - it's midnight right now! On one of the trees, a single, perfectly ripe apple is growing! It looks delicious. Although, there's also a very angry-looking snake slithering around it... Only the most deserving of souls get to sit in the Pleroma. The most virtuous, the most innocent... Cabbage guy is sat here??? As for me, I suspected the gods were out there in some fashion. But I saw many people's worship as a farce. There's no need to complicate things with a futile pursuit of perfect order, or some such.

Well, it's a bit of a long story! So, after I left the sanctuary, where I started, with Retsuko and Ripley, we ran into someone named Wayne Togami. He told us that we needed to help him place four items into an altar up in the cloudtops. Not thinking anything of it, Dry Bones, Brine, Sean, and I all placed four items into the altar. But when we did, a huge, weird-looking tree sprouted up from the altar and Wayne merged together with it!

And speaking of that tree, before I left the cloudtops, Retsuko had to trick Pasqualo and Fishbunjin into entering the tree without being able to leave because they tried to kill her! As far as I'm aware, this mutation makes me feel stronger. As if every action I take has more strength to it. But besides the visual appearance, I'm not sure if there are any downsides to it. I do know, however, that when Retsuko went inside the tree with that mutation, she came out with a more advanced stage of it! That's mainly why I've avoided going inside that tree for now.

Yeah, that's the big problem I've been facing as well. In fact, I don't think there's any Pokemon here at all! So I've been wondering how to make up for this, and I think I've come up with an answer. It doesn't feel like the laws of the Pokemon world apply here, so if I'm going to be battling with Pokemon, the only option I have for Pokemon is...the other people here.

In other words, if I can use some people here as my Pokemon, I'll be able to battle someone! One thing that I feel has stayed the same is the requirement for there to be a bond between the trainer and the Pokemon. For a trainer and a Pokemon to battle alongside each other, the Pokemon has to agree to do this in the first place! So, if you or someone else agrees to be my Pokemon, I should be able to have a Pokemon of my own.

Since we've both been helpful towards each other, how about I ask you a favor? Would you be willing to be my Pokemon?

Sean seems much less startled this time around, and moves in close to the snake.

He whispers something. The snake seems pleased, and Slithers over to Sean, wrapping around his arm.

Sean then begins to focus on Kyoko. As he focuses, he begins to glow!

Suddenly, Kyoko begins to glow too!

She seems... energized?

Sean looks positively exhausted from the process, though.

Kyoko grabs the donut from the table, and rapidly scarfs it down!

Without wasting a second, she starts moving!

Running, jumping, diving, and rolling!

Almost as if she's... dodging?

...

Let's just... Leave her to it.

Meanwhile, Ellen points towards cabbage guy.

Her alien looks towards her, as if for confirmation, then starts to sprint at cabbage guy!

Instead of attacking, though, the alien grabs one of cabbage guy's cabbages, and eats it in one big bite!

It proudly returns to Ellen.

V1 stares down Adris.

Adris smugly stares back, still guarding the sanctuary.

It looks like it's a stalema-

WITHOUT WARNING, V1 DASHES AT ADRIS, AND GOES TO PUNCH HER IN THE FACE!

It seems like they got too confident.

V1 isn't relenting, though! They do a flip back, toss a coin in the air, and fire their railcannon!

A beam of light flashes in the air, towards the coin, and...

Bounces off, straight into Adiris!

Even more smugly, Adiris emerges, still upright and blocking the way to the sanctuary.

Even God's holy domain is not safe from the pervasive roots, which erupt from the mountaintop and batter themselves against God's sacred place. Hanging off the side of the mountain is a truly beautiful painting of... this exact mountain! Outside, there is a pedestal, engraved with a carving of a clock face. It's showing 12 o'clock! This is seemingly useless, as the sun is gone... On one of the trees, a single, perfectly ripe apple is growing! It looks delicious. Only the most deserving of souls get to sit in the Pleroma. BIG It's an overheat nailgun! It has one charge. It does a decent amount of damage with its base attack. If you expend a heat charge, the nails get a lot more powerful! They can pin whoever they hit to the ground, cancelling their movement action. You may also be able to jam these charged nails into surfaces! However, once both charges have been expended, the weapon does no more damage than a regular attack.

railcannon

BIG It's an electric railcannon! Once every 3 phases, it can be fired for 1.25 hearts of damage with very high accuracy. Alternatively, you may use this weapon to "electrify" someone or something, causing them to take .25 more damage from all sources for the next two phases. Electrified objects and players are magnetic, and all attacks made on them have improved accuracy.

My railcannon needs to recharge and I don’t have the time for that. My marksman isn’t the greatest on it’s own and my nailgun is a bit weak to say the least. My shotgun is the powerhouse of my arsenal.
