But he hasn't lost his cool just yet.

He commands Arma to sneak through the Kraken's grip, then turn into a scythe!

She becomes a blade in his hands...

But it's not enough to cut him free of the Kraken's thick tentacles!

If anything, it squeezes him even tighter, in response to the mild pinpricks of pain he's causing it!

He winces from the pressure.

"Well, isn't this a grave situation-"

He can feel the stone of his body buckling under the unrelenting, crushing force... he's never been this close to crumbling!

Her guns are out, and she fires each one straight at the beast!

The Kraken didn't like that!

The battle and the storm alike continue to rage on.

Scarlett keeps leaping around, desperately trying to avoid all of the kraken's tentacles, and shoots it once at point-blank with her pistol.

Karl has been desperately struggling to get free for a while now, it's a good thing for him he's a statue as any human would have died of suffocation by now.

He's still got a smile on his face, though his eye's twitching, changing Arma into all sorts of weapons to try to cut himself free. Finally, the kraken reacting to the bullet shot into it, he's able to get enough arm room to Armify a machete. He tries to get enough clearance to hack this hack of a guardian...

Suddenly, Scarlett can't dodge away fast enough, and gets THWACKED over the head with a tentacle! She's still holding on, but is slow to raise her head.

Karl finally cuts the tentacle clean off, and escapes from the Kraken's grasp!

...

Into a free-fall.

He kicks at the Kraken, but he's not quite close enough to reach. He closes his eyes, about to hit the ocean any second now.

Suddenly, a flaming ship comes into view!

It's the Humphrey's Dream, with Vriska on it and it... CRASHES RIGHT INTO THE KRAKEN!

The Kraken screams.

Vriska leaps off as the contact is made, grabs the falling Karl, and yanks him back onto the clearly weakened Kraken.

Everyone continues to hold on. The Kraken is desperately thrashing now. It's gonna take just a bit more, now.

Will they have enough left in them to take it down?

Several lives still hang in the balance.

They look past the Kraken, and see the Humphrey's Dream burn and crumble to pieces.

True to this crew's nature, it went in a blaze of glory. But they're on their own now.

(FYI we've been having the kraken take slightly less damage from normal attacks because it has thick skin (the exception is super high rolls). Do with that information what you will)

Everyone, the Kraken included, is beginning to get desperate.

The storm has only continued to pick up, everyone can feel the wind battering at them.

Scarlett readies her orphanmaker and fires it at point blank range. She winces at the drawback.

The Kraken gets more erratic, hitting both Scarlett, Vriska, and even the MS Kye nearby! They struggle to stay on.

Vriska rolls her dice, hoping for a huge number...

She doesn't seem to be sure it's enough, but... She stabs the Kraken with her sword anyways.

Karl, bladed Arma in hand, is about to do some damage, before he hears Molly's laughter from above. He looks up to see a laser cannon pointed right at him.

Karl just smiles, his eye twitching. "Just couldn't play fair, huh?" He looks behind him, over at Vriska and Scarlett.

He then looks back down, at the Kraken, as if nothing was happening.

"SMITE!"

Karl stabs Arma right into the head of the Kraken, and then transforms her into some sort of mace-like object. He jostles it around inside the Kraken, making a large amount of rather disturbing noises as he does it.

The Kraken flails and keeps whacking at Karl, but he doesn't move anything but his arms. (edited)

Suddenly, the Kraken eventually gets a fully direct blow...right onto the left side of his face. He's hit right off.

He's back into free-fall again, this time with no one nearby enough to save him. But he still keeps Arma lodged in the Kraken as he falls, slowly cleaving the entire beast in half.

The Kraken's done for, at this point. Karl closes his eyes.

The laser Molly fires goes right through him, all Vriska and Scarlett can see is light.

And when the laser's finished, there's nothing left to be seen there.
